The event Paint Technology Prototype-II, centred on showcasing industry-oriented prototypes and applications of Paint Technology, was successfully organised by the Garware Institute of Career Education and Development, University of Mumbai. The exhibition provided a dynamic platform for students to present their technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving abilities across key sectors such as innovative coatings, industrial coatings, powder coating systems, water-based formulations, resin manufacturing, and sustainable coating solutions.
Each project demonstrated a thorough understanding of processes, materials, and application techniques relevant to current industry practices. The students exhibited commendable effort in conceptualisation, design, and execution, highlighting their ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical, functional models. Particular emphasis was observed on sustainability, efficiency, and innovation key drivers shaping the future of the coatings industry.
The event was evaluated by industry professionals who appreciated the depth of knowledge, presentation skills, and the industry-oriented approach adopted by the participants. The judging panel included Dr Keyurkumar Nayak, Director of Garware Institute of Career Education and Development, along with industry experts including Brajesh Mishra from PPG Asian Paints, Anand Salunkhe from Mahindkar Paint Tech, Prasad Deshpande from Godrej, Sanjana Shirodkar from Dry Chem Pvt Ltd, and Chandrashekhar Sarwade from PPG USA.
