SATTE 2027 will be held on January 19-21, 2027, and organisers plan to bring more than 400 overseas buyers to India through the ATITHI platform for curated B2B meetings. The plan was announced by Dr Abhay Sinha, Director General of the Service Export Promotion Council (SEPC), and reported by Travel Trends Today on October 8, 2026.
Sinha spoke at the World Tourism Day Leadership Meet 2026, hosted by SATTE with SEPC on September 30, 2026 at Hotel Pride Plaza, Aerocity, Delhi. The theme was “Building Stronger Two-Way Tourism Ties,” and over 100 leaders and travel-trade stakeholders attended.
How Will SATTE and ATITHI Work Together at the 34th SATTE?
Sinha said SATTE and ATITHI will deepen their partnership at the 34th SATTE. The goal is to host more than 400 overseas buyers for pre-arranged business meetings with Indian suppliers.
What Support Does the Export Promotion Mission Offer Tourism?
Sinha also outlined the Export Promotion Mission (EPM), announced in Union Budget 2025-26 with an outlay of INR 25,060 crore for FY2025-26 to FY2030-31. Its Niryat Protsahan component covers trade finance, credit facilitation and collateral support, while Niryat Disha covers global market access. For tourism, that includes partial reimbursement for stall and airfare costs, support for hosting foreign buyers at ATITHI, and components for market research and training (INSIGHT) and accreditation and compliance costs (TRACE). The report says the scheme replaces older incentives such as SEIS for the tourism sector.
