Kansai Nerolac Paints reported a Kansai Nerolac Q2 FY27 standalone revenue of ₹2,268.77 crore, up 18.9% year on year, for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Standalone EBITDA was ₹223.23 crore, a margin of 9.8%, according to results reported on November 4, 2026.

On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations was ₹2,317.38 crore and profit after tax was ₹143.99 crore. Standalone profit after tax was ₹148.64 crore, up 8.8% year on year, per reports of the results published on November 4 and 5, 2026.

What Were Kansai Nerolac’s Key Q2 FY27 Numbers?

The standalone quarter showed revenue growth well ahead of profit growth. One summary of the exchange filing put standalone EBITDA growth at 4.9% and profit before tax at ₹191.88 crore, up 4.3%. The same summary gave first-half (H1 FY27) revenue of ₹4,601.60 crore, up 14.2%, and H1 EBITDA of ₹553.11 crore, up 5.8%.

Managing Director Pravin Chaudhari said: “We delivered healthy revenue growth during the quarter.” He also cited “good momentum across both Decorative and Industrial businesses.”

How Do the Results Compare With Earlier Estimates?

Before the results, Kotak Neo had estimated that Kansai Nerolac would post about 12% revenue growth for the September quarter. The reported standalone growth of 18.9% was higher than that estimate. The same Kotak Neo report, updated on October 5, 2026, noted that the share price was down about 25% in 2026 up to that point, and that dealers held 2.5 to 3 months of inventory against a usual 1.5 to 2 months.

What Does This Mean for the Paints and Coatings Industry?

Revenue growth with a thinner EBITDA margin points to the cost pressure the sector has flagged this year. Kansai Nerolac said it is managing raw material price and foreign exchange volatility through pricing actions, sourcing efficiencies, formulation optimisation and cost management. The company is also expanding into construction chemicals, waterproofing and wood finishes, following the amalgamation of its wholly owned subsidiary Nerofix Private Limited under an NCLT order.

Market Reaction and Industry Response

No share price reaction or trade body comment on the results was found in the sources reviewed. The company’s own commentary was the main reaction available at the time of writing.

What Happens Next?

Kansai Nerolac said it expects supportive demand from the festive season and from activity in automotive, infrastructure, real estate and core industrial sectors. Investors will watch whether pricing actions can lift the 9.8% standalone EBITDA margin in the coming quarters.
