Aignosis AI Autism Screening Raises ₹4 Crore Seed Round

Aignosis AI autism screening is set to expand across India after the Jaipur-based healthtech startup raised a ₹4 crore seed round led by Antler and Nikhil Kamath. The company, which announced the funding on October 1, 2026, aims to complete 1 lakh screenings by the end of FY27.

Aignosis, founded by Raksheet Jain and Divyansh Mangal, has built an AI-assisted autism and developmental screening platform that runs on a standard laptop and webcam. Angel investors Varun Dua and IIMA Ventures also participated in the round. Earlier backers from 2024 include Rajneesh Bhandari and Amit Jain.

How Does Aignosis AI Autism Screening Work?

The platform presents children aged 16 months to nine years with nine stimulus modules and uses computer vision to analyse behavioural signals such as gaze, response to name and facial-expression reactions. It then generates a risk report. Aignosis says the report does not provide a diagnosis, so it works as a screening aid rather than a replacement for clinical assessment.

The company has received CDSCO Class B certification and was part of the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First 2025 cohort. It has completed more than 8,000 screenings so far.

What Does This Mean for Early Autism Detection in India?

Because the tool needs only a laptop and a webcam, it can be deployed in settings that lack specialist equipment, such as government health centres and schools. Aignosis currently operates in more than 20 government Primary Health Centres in Rajasthan, has a partnership with Mankind Pharma, and is starting operations with Apollo Shines across roughly 125 schools.

The seed funding will support expansion into Punjab, NCR, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Maharashtra. Reaching the target of 1 lakh screenings would represent more than a twelve-fold increase over the 8,000-plus completed to date.

The deployment model, combining public health centres with school partnerships, is aimed at reaching children before a formal diagnostic pathway is available to their families.

Industry Reaction and Expert Commentary

The round drew a mix of institutional and angel backing, led by Antler and entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath, with Varun Dua and IIMA Ventures participating. The announcement coverage did not include further public commentary from the investors or from clinicians, so none is attributed here.

The funding is also part of a wider pattern in Indian AI, where startups are applying computer vision and machine learning to healthcare screening rather than only building general-purpose models. The same day, Gnani AI, a foundational-model developer, opened applications for a paid internship programme, another sign of the talent and capital flowing into India’s AI sector.

What Happens Next?

Aignosis’ next milestones are the seven-state expansion and the 1 lakh screening target by the end of FY27. Observers will look at how the school programme with Apollo Shines performs, how screening volumes scale in government health centres, and whether further regulatory approvals follow the current CDSCO Class B certification.
