Delhi to host world’s largest plastics expo (Feb 5-10) with innovative 20,000 sq ft Open Air Museum and startup platform. When PLASTINDIA 2026 opens its doors at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on February 5, it will attempt something audacious: hosting the world’s largest international plastics exhibition as a completely zero-waste event. No landfill. No single-use plastics. No exceptions.
The ambition is staggering. Over 2,000 exhibitors. An expected footfall exceeding 2 lakh visitors. Hundreds of tonnes of material flows. Yet every scrap will be collected, segregated, and either recycled or composted.
“We’re not just showcasing innovations in plastics,” explained Alok Bhartwal, Chairman of the National Executive Committee for PLASTINDIA 2026. “We’re demonstrating that the industry itself can practice what it preaches about sustainability.”
Perhaps most innovative is the Startup Search Initiative, developed with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. Ten shortlisted startups are being provided cash prizes and mentorship, creating a pathway for innovation to scale. The exhibition features a CEO Conclave bringing together industry leaders and policymakers for strategic dialogue, plus a Reverse Buyer Selling program structuring one-on-one interactions between Indian manufacturers and international buyers.
